Hey Scout, I may have some tips on fox walking if you’d like.
When I started trying it out (about a year and a half ago – so my experience is pretty limited) the first thing that really helped me with walking (and still does) was running. Trying to walk toe first was pretty painful mentally until I did a little bit of bare foot jogging. After that I could fox walk while still giving attention to other things (like where I was going).
The other tip that just dawned on me a few months ago is to focus more on bringing the knees up and forward than on how my feet land. I try to remind myself every morning about this, especially when I wake up stiff.
